MEMBERSHIP
The class association was formed by a group of owners keen to build the class, maintain one-design fleets at local and national regattas, and act as a Member National Authority to ensure adherence to the J/70 International class rules.
ESSENTIAL RULE C 3.1(B)
All J/70 Helms (owners or Group 1 sailors) and all Crew who do not have Group 1 Sailor IDs (i.e. pro/Group 3 or unclassified crew) must have J/70 UKICA membership in order to race.
We use the Webcollect platform to manage memberships efficiently.

No Weight Limit Rule
Having no weight limit means flexibility in crew size and makeup. Sail with four or five people, across a wide range of weights and physical abilities – strength is not a limiting factor.
