Congratulations to Max Clapp, Horatio Sykes, Miles Jones, Mathieu Cadei, and Felix Trattner, winners of the Warsash Spring Champs, racing J/70 Jeepster. Second for the two weekend series was Jack Davies’ Yeti, and third was Doug Struth’s DSP.
The Jeepster team for the Warsash Spring Champs are all young amateur sailors who love racing in the J/70 Class.
“The J/70 UK Class offers the opportunity to race against some of the best sailors in the UK and learn from them, outside of Olympic sailing that is pretty unique for young sailors,” commented Jeepster’s helm Max Clapp. “There is a great atmosphere and spirit around the class, I wish more young sailors would come and race. There are several clubs in the Solent that own J/70s and it would be really cool if they could be made accessible to young teams. The racing is exceptional and I would urge young sailors to get involved, the J/70 is a great boat to sail.”
