25 August, 2019 – Day Two J/70 UK National Championship: Joining up the Lumps of Pressure

The stand out performer of the day was Paul Ward’s Eat, Sleep, J, Repeat, scoring the best score of the entire fleet with a 5-8-4 to take the lead for the teams racing for the J/70 UK National Championship. King & Wilson’s Soak Racing showed early promise to come with in a single point of Eat, Sleep, J, Repeat, after Race 5, but a poor result in the last race today put Soak Racing in second place, 20 points behind the leader for the Open UK crown. 24 August, 2019 – Day One J/70 UK National Championships: Calypso Hustle in Torbados

Caribbean style conditions on the first day of the J/70 UK National Championship had the J/70 fleet grinning form ear to ear, after three highly competitive races in the beautiful surrounding of Torbay, nicknamed Torbados but the J/70 fleet. Calascione & Ripard’s Calypso was the top performing boat racing for the J/70 UK National Championships. Read more

22 August, 2019 – The J/70 UK National Championship kicks off this Bank Holiday weekend hosted by the Royal Torbay Yacht Club. 36 teams will be racing at the open national championships with top British teams taking on a stellar international fleet from Australia, Brazil, Cyprus, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the USA. 13 August, 2019 – 26-year-old Tilly Harrison’s Sorcha J has won the J/70 Mini-Series at Cowes Week. Tilly’s father Peter owns the Maxi72 Sorcha, and they often race together but not on this occasion. Tilly lives in Putney with her two dogs and loves to sail in her spare time. Aptly on Ladies’ Day at Cowes Week, Tilly scored her first J/70 race victory, and went on to win the Grand Slam J/70 Event. Read more

21 July, 2019 – Paul Ward’s Eat, Sleep, J, Repeat was the stand out performer in the J/70 UK Class Training Event, and was awarded the 2019 J-Cup for their impressive performance, the first time a J/70 team has won the prestigious trophy. Read more

19 July, 2019 – Feisty conditions materialised for Day Two of the J/70 UK Class Training Event. Gusty wind conditions, topping out at 30 knots, tested the mettle of the 16 teams racing in the Solent. Read more

18 July, 2019 – Day One J/70 UK Class Training Event Paul Ward’s Eat, Sleep, J, Repeat was fully launched, winning all three races. Eat, Sleep, J, Repeat was the top performing J/70 at the recent European Championships, and that time on the water against top international competition, is reaping rewards. Read more

03 June, 2019 – Round 4 of the 2019 J/70 UK Grand Slam Series, the Royal Thames YC Southern Championships, was won by Ian Wilson & Marshall King’s Soak Racing. Second was John Greenland’s JDog, and third was Graham Clapp’s Jeepster. Read more

12 May, 2019 – Round 3 of the 2019 J/70 UK Class Grand Slam Series, the RORC Vice Admiral’s Cup, was won by Paul Ward’s Eat, Sleep, J, Repeat with a crew of Ruaridh Scott,Mario Trindade and Oli Wells. Second was Clive Bush racing Darcey, and Doug Struth’s DSP, was third. Read more

29 April, 2019 – Warsash Spring Championships Series  Ian Wilson & Marshall King’s Soak Racing started the J/70 UK Grand Slam Series in style, scoring all podium finishes including six bullets to win the 2019 Warsash Spring Championship for the J/70 Class. Second was Doug Struth’s DSP, who scored five podium finishes including two races wins . Paul Ward’s Eat,Sleep, J, Repeat was third. Read more

16 April, 2019 – Warsash Spring Championships 13-14 April – Ian Wilson & Marshall King’s Soak Racing started the J/70 UK Grand Slam Series in style, winning the opening round of the nine-regatta Grand Slam Series. Soak Racing scored five bullets out of eight races over the two days, including a hatrick on the last day. Read more

26 March.2019 – The 2019 season is expected to be bigger than Ben Hur for the J/70 UK and Ireland Class, with ten regattas in the Grand Slam Series, and the first ever J/70 World Championships to be held in the UK.
